Extrusion
Silicone Extrusion Manufacturing Process
Silicone rubber extrusion is a continuous manufacturing process that shapes uncured silicone into tubes, strips, gaskets and complex profiles by forcing material through a die. Request a quote to explore how extrusion can deliver consistent, high‑quality profiles for cookware, medical devices, electronics, industrial machinery and consumer goods.
what we deliver
We design and run extrusion lines that move from material preparation through feeding, shaping, curing and cutting to finished profiles. Curing uses heat or UV light to set the part and locking in durability and dimensional stability. Throughout production we apply dimensional checks and tensile strength testing so products meet performance expectations for end‑use safety and reliability.

How it works
Silicone extrusion is a continuous process: raw silicone is mixed with additives to tune flexibility and heat resistance, fed into an extruder where it is heated and shaped, then cured, cooled and cut to length. Typical profile types include tubing, strips, standard profiles and custom cross sections not achievable with other methods. This method minimizes material waste and supports high production rates for large runs.
why it matters now
By 2027 the global market for silicone extrusions is projected to reach $6.6 billion, reflecting rising demand across food‑contact cookware, medical tubing and industrial seals. For US brands sourcing manufactures in southeast Asia, extrusion delivers a cost‑efficient route to scale while retaining the material performance needed for safety‑critical applications.
strengths, limits and suitability
Extrusion is efficient, versatile and cost‑effective for continuous profiles and long runs; it produces durable parts with strong temperature, chemical and UV resistance. Challenges include selecting the correct grade of silicone for the process and part function, getting that choice wrong can undermine tensile performance and dimensional control. For one‑off shapes or extremely rigid parts, alternative processes may sometimes be more suitable.
quality assurance and risk management
Quality control is integral: we perform dimensional inspections and tensile strength tests at key stages to ensure consistency with industry expectations. That QA focus helps US customers feel confident about safety and performance when products are manufactured in southeast Asia and delivered to consumer, medical or industrial markets.
